Managed three different departments in the Homeware group, ‘Homeshop’, ‘Summer Seasonal’, and ‘DIY and Hardware’. Setting the safety, quality, ethical and environmental requirements for a wide range of products, overseeing and managing the supply chain, ensuring that products were tested and conform to these criteria before entering the UK and European market, and inline with the agreed critical path.

A senior role, responsible for the development and innovation of products, ensuring efficient manufacture within agreed quality control systems, and management and selection of the supply-base. Member of the technical design team. Involved in the design, specification and the configuration of new machinery using CAD. Project in quality management, reviewing and resetting the parameters of their computer based inspection sampling programme and investigating quality related costs.

A member of the Technical Liaison Engineering team, communicating specifically with third party customers (airlines), and Engineers from within all areas of B.A. This was a problem solving team whose role it was to obtain technical information, construct quotations and present the findings back to the customer.

Developed and coordinated a shutdown program for the oxidizing line. Involved obtaining quotations, managing the contractors who stripped the line, repaired and replaced machinery within an agreed timescale. Based in the deoxidising plant, assisted in the everyday maintenance of the production line. In addition, investigated and solved repetitive machine failure.
