Mark has been practicing engineering almost his whole life, beginning with elaborate machines and intricate buildings constructed entirely of Lego® bricks. He earned a BS in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University where he honed his problem-solving ability, something he considers an art. Mark spent the first 9+ years of his career at prominent Houston structural engineering firms working on intricate and diverse building projects before founding Ensight Structural Engineering and later Ensight Haynes Whaley.“What makes me different from many engineers is that I prefer to avoid completing things ‘the hard way.’ When faced with a complex problem, I first step back rather than focusing on the problem itself, and look for a better way to create the same result.
