Over the last 30+ years I have gained extensive knowledge and experience in Welding & Fabrication. I have worked in various roles such as apprentice, fabricator welder through to Responsible Welding Co-ordinator, works manager, Production Improvement Manager and my current position is QHSE/Production Manager. As a Responsible Welding Coordinator I have developed Welding Quality Systems & Manuals to meet the requirements of BS EN 1090 Pts 1 - 3 & BS 3834 for the purposes of CE Marking. I also have experience in Non Destructive Testing, qualified in Liquid Penetrant Inspection. During my years in the industry I have front line knowledge of Health & Safety in this sector and hold my NEBOSH certificate and a member of IOSH. I have also worked with external accreditation bodies such as BSI, developing a good working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Integrated Management Systems which has helped me maintain and develop relevant documentation and perform audits. Over the past 30 years I have been involved in many diverse projects including Edinburgh Tram, Heathrow T5, Eurostar Maintenance Depot for customers such as Bilfinger Berger, Babcock, Virgin Trains, Balfour Beatty, Diageo, MoD and Scottish Water.
