Mark has more than 38 years of experience having spent 22 years with Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and 12 years within the private sector. He served five years as the Assistant Area Engineer for the Wharton Area Office in the TxDOT Yoakum District where he prepared the plans, specifications and estimates (PS&E) for hazard elimination and safety (HES) improvements and various 2R and 3R projects. He also worked in the Consultant Contract Section as Contract Specialist/Project Engineer for the TxDOT Houston District and as Assistant Resident Engineer at the Columbus Residency Office for the TxDOT Yoakum District.Mark has worked on a variety of projects throughout his career including roadway widening and rehabilitation, bridge replacement, safety improvements, drainage, curb and gutter with storm sewers, and route studies with schematic layouts. He has been responsible for planning, budgetary con trol, schedules, design, and quality control from initial design development through construction administration. He has also managed design teamsresponsible for developing plans, specifications and estimates (PS&E) of major and complex roadway systems throughout Texas. He is proficient in GEOPAK, MicroStation, Winstorm, and HECRAS.
