Santova is a specialist international trade solutions business listed on the South African stock exchange with offices around the world. My role was to develop business in South Africa through new sales; and cross and up-selling current customers. I was the head of the European-South African trade lane. I was responsible for training and managing a new and growing sales team, supporting the supply chain engineers team on the company’s systems and explored new revenue opportunities for the company.

My business partner and I started CrashDetech, a social venture aimed at saving lives by solving not only a South African, but a global problem.We developed the smartphone app that monitors our clients’ driving, coordinates with nearby emergency services in the event of an accident and stores and uses clients’ medical profiles. I was responsible for business development and concluded licensing agreements that led to CrashDetech getting into and growing a client base on three continents.

A fruit and health snacks distribution organisation primarily focused on servicing corporates, with the aim of improving the lifestyle of their employees. Part of my responsibilities as the founder was to establish and manage customer relationships in addition to making strategic decisions.

Stellenbosch, Western Cape

I assisted in managing the sales team, helping with training, setting monthly targets, wine selection and pricing. In addition to the sales portfolio I was responsible for managing all courier activities for the company. I was recognised as the company’s best new salesman.

High School

I pondered about the future and took long walks around the premises. I took refuge in the music department when I was feeling a little.
