Preston

Administering the Darebin Planning Scheme. Managed all subdivision applications. The role was a part time position for the first two years. Processed approximately 240 planning permit applications. Darebin Council along with Moreland Council were the first Councils to implement sustainable design measures into new residential developments. Commenced the role with an extreme workload of 131 active subdivision planning permit applications. Reformed internal processes and improved file management. Major Projects: Springthorpe Estate, Macleod.Represented Council at VCAT hearings.

Footscray

Administering the Maribyrnong Planning Scheme. In 1998, Maribyrnong Council had the highest permit approval rate in the State of Victoria at 99% of all applications received. Maribyrnong Council was the most progressive Council in Melbourne in the assessment of planning permit applications.Processed a total of 1,033 planning permit applications. This large number can be attributed to the highly efficient work practices and systems that existed in the 1990's.Project managed the Braybrook-Maidstone Redevelopment Project. A large scale public housing renewal program covering two suburbs.
