With more than 30 years’ experience in the banking sector, I’ve acquired a comprehensive understanding of the financial markets, concentrated primarily within a Treasury environment, across both conventional and Islamic banking environments.I am well versed in UK and the international Financial Markets, having extensive knowledge of trading and investing using Fixed Income, Swaps, and Futures, Risk Management and MI development. I am experienced in various aspects of IT system development such as Tableau, SharePoint SSP and QRM, MS SQL and MS Office.As Head of Treasury I am responsible for and have significant input into key Policy documents. A regularly changing regulatory landscape ensures a need to liaise closely with external bodies, other banks and regulators, and to provide feedback and understanding of the extent of changes required to be fed back into project work with colleagues.Having worked at a senior level for many years, I have developed a motivational and confident leadership style. I enjoy providing help to less experienced colleagues, hopefully benefiting from my guidance, which in turn benefits their own careers and the company as a whole. Colleagues would describe me as hardworking and amiable, with a strong team spirit and excellent problem solving and analysis skills. My financial expertise encompasses treasury dealing, propriatry trading and liquidity management, settlements, middle office, accounting and risk management. I also possess a sound knowledge of diverse IT systems, financial reporting and regulatory standards. I enjoy the challenge of new projects, which I approach with enthusiasm and application, and relish the opportunity to contribute to the success of the company.
