Hired in a maternity cover capacity to oversee Delegated Authority MI and Data Analytics for Everest Insurance Ireland and Everest Syndicate platforms.Duties included;Oversight of estimated premium income quarterly review, reporting to underwriting and senior management functions.Reporting monthly Delegated Authority analytics to senior management through various committee meetings.Overseeing the annual Employers Liability Tracing Order (ELTO) audit.Directly responsible for analysis and sign off of all profit commissions.Assisting with various Power BI automation projects to streamline Delegated Authority reporting.

Managing day to day workloads across the team ensuring service level agreements (SLA’s) and quality standards are maintained. Responsible for overall team and individual team member performance providing support and guidance whilst setting appropriate objectives and undertaking regular performance reviews. Preparation of CEO Executive MI reports for monthly underwriting committee and quarterly board meetings. Monitoring and maintaining delegated underwriting business, including credit control reporting for monthly DUA committee meetings. Preparing regular reporting on team performance and quality for the Operations Manager. Leading the development of the operations quality assurance framework and annual QA plan. Chairing weekly meetings with class Divisional heads and underwriting teams. Overseeing the maintenance and review of all Operations procedural and process documentation ensuring updates and changes are communicated to the teams. Collaborating with team leads to support training and development and eliminate any key man dependencies where possible. Providing support to the Operations Manager as required on day to day or ad hoc tasks, reports and projects.

Participating in the insurance renewal process for clients by collecting and reviewing underwriting information, preparing submission documents and presentations, liaising with insurance markets, preparing invoices, insurance binders, policies, endorsements, summaries of insurance and reviewing policy documentation.Specialising in the placement of large Canadian realty portfolios, mining operations, waste treatment facilities, public private partnership projects, construction projects etc.Supporting Account Managers and Segment Leaders with respect to environmental liabilities, including –risk Identification & management policy consulting, claims advocacy, contract management review, attending presentation/meeting as required.Environmental practice development and administration including – Research and analysis of topical environmental issues including white paper, benchmarking and other internal data management, attending panel and seminar speaking engagements.Relationship with broad array of insurance markets. Experience in complex multi-layer excess placements.Direct interaction with clients predominantly C-Suite level.

Collaborating with Account Executives in business activities that support marketing and underwriting decisions consistent with business unit growth and retention goals.Working with Account Executives and line managers to establish support needs for new business and renewals.Participating in pre-renewal meetings to define assignments and assess risk exposures. Training and monitoring off shore Vendors (Genpact). Ensuring quality assurance and timeliness standards are met and exceeded.Preparing underwriting/pricing exhibits (i.e., exposures, experience rating, profit and loss analysis, expense models, updated account information, etc.).Entering new business, renewal and mid-term premiums into Merlin (In house underwriting system).Working with Casualty/Property package products and specialty lines.Managing relationships with brokers, insured’s and internal departments.Preparing submissions on behalf of account executives for reinsurance contracts on specialty lines.Negotiating rate with reinsurance underwriters.Responsible for ensuring submissions, quotations and binders were compliant for both internal and external reinsurance audits. Organising and working collaboratively with other functional areas for marketing and meet and greet events for all reinsurance markets.
