Manufacturing Engineer / Industrial EngineeringOnesubsea/Cameron Dec 2012 - Jul 2017Leeds, United KingdomOneSubsea/CameronCurrently working within the busy Industrial Engineering team in Leeds providing support for the machine tools onsite in Leeds, and providing Edgecam support not only to the Leeds site but several other sites across the globe.Use SAP to collate information and data about relevant work orders.Determine requirements by evaluating each job, and plan each operation depending on routed path through the shop. Assess tooling requirements and liaise with both in-house and external tooling suppliers to provide our internal customers with best tooling solution.Use Edgecam CAM software to generate a part program for each required operation. Pull in tooling package from WinTool software, and finish by linking through to Vericut to verify NC program against a 3D model.Continuously look at methods of reducing cycle times and ultimately giving cost reductions. My roles at OneSubsea are to evaluate how the I.E department are using Edgecam and to keep us in front of the competition by using the latest technology. Software changes constantly, so by not updating for a few years the department can soon get left behind in terms of technology. Liaising with our software suppliers should enable us to provide good feedback to those companies and in turn lets them develop software and systems to help us.
