Before starting my career in data science and analytics, I earned a master's degree in statistics from the University of Kentucky. This seemed like a great, logical step to take after earning my bachelor's in mathematics and economics, but to no surprise I recall it being much harder! My passion for mathematical sciences has always driven me to learn as much as possible about quantitative fields of study as well as the tools vital to transforming these ideas into actions.I have served in roles as model developer, data scientist and analytics manager throughout my career, and all have served me well with their own sets of experiences, rewards and connections. I've served in these roles over projects as simple as data mart building and reporting all the way through more complex projects like real-time decision engine deployment and machine learning development. I find the most passion in developing statistical processing tools to improve activities both my team and myself use regularly. I really like taking smart approaches to problems and making sure they are always repeatable, clean and available for the work we do. The less time spent on redevelopment means more time can be spent on tuning and improving performance.In my personal life, I'm a happily, married father to the sweetest little girl in the world. I enjoy spending as much time as I can with my family.
