A 'hands on' engineer with extensive engine calibration experience of both PFI and GDI EMS systems for NA, supercharged and turbo applications for which many calibrations have been delivered to production for 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8 cylinder engines. Plus, more recently a GDI Turbo Miller cycle engine.In the last 10 years have delivered projects with the Bosch EMS and have had formal training from Bosch Germany for Value Motronic, ME17, MED17 and UD08. The training covered and the knowledge applied to deliver calibrations in: EPM (Engine Position Management), ignition dwell time control, air charge determination with scavenging, spark timing including inert gas based, torque modelling for single (Map and inert gas based) and multi-injection modes, combustion limits, HP fuel pump control, boost pressure control - pressure capsule and e-wastegate variants, exhaust temperature modelling, component protection, multi-injection control and optimisation, knock control, pre-ignition detection and control, and emissions development including dew-point determination, catalyst heating, lambda control - upstream and downstream of catalyst, catalyst de-oxidation, cold starts, transient fuelling compensation, idle control, canister purge and driveability. Plus, some GPF soot loading and characterisation support.Recent projects where the test-bed and vehicle calibration have been completed for four GDI applications that included a parallel hybrid (P2) vehicle application. That resulted in unique features being developed.
