Social Security policy advice and development, mainly covering Jersey's contributory Social Security scheme and to a lesser extent Income Support and the Long term care scheme. I am currently leading a major review of the Social Security scheme and income in retirement.
Based in the Economics Unit in the Chief Ministers department, I provided economic modelling, analysis and advice to support policy development and decision-making across the government. I mainly worked with Treasury (including a two year secondment) on developing fiscal strategy, improving tax forecasting and with Economic Development on economic impact assessments. I also supported Jersey's Fiscal Policy Panel which provides States members with independent economic advice on tax and spending policy.
