Fabdec manufacture and supply top quality stainless steel fabricated products and agricultural equipment, specialising in four main business areas, Milk Cooling Tanks and associated systems, Milking Equipment and Parlour systems, Water Heaters and Bespoke Stainless products.Responsibilities and achievements:Milking parlour design. Production of parlour plan layouts created in either 2D or 3D (Inventor & Auto CAD 2012). Plans include ground works, construction and installation layouts.Other design drawings include cattle handling systems such as seperation gates and associated housing areas.Site surveys carried out when required.Technical support for precise dairy herd management solutions. This includes stand-alone heat detection and health monitoring to complete parlour & herd management systems.New installation assistance, parlour set-up, commissioning and training to both dealer and end user. This also includes organising internal technical sales training sessions and countrywide dealer and customer product training seminars.Technical writing of user and installation manuals across the whole product range.First draft issue of marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, adverts and price lists.Dealing with customer enquiries, queries and requests on a daily basis, this will involve compiling quotations, using in-house CRM systems and communication via phone, e-mail or fax.

Harry West manufactures agricultural machinery. With leading market sales of the West Dual Spreader (Gold Medal Winner at the RASA). Also they produce Silage and Grain Trailers, Diet Feeder / Mixers and a Manure Spreader (Rear Discharge Silver Medal Winner at the RASA) Responsibilities and achievements: Handled day to day situations off the shop floor, such as modifying or redesigning components, sub-assemblies and assemblies for ease of manufacture, decreasing cost and to ensure a higher quality of product to the customer.Produce 3D Models of existing machines and prototypes using Inventor, Involved in design and development of new machines or upgrade existing machines to smaller or larger models.Produce detailed component, sub-assembly and assembly drawings to be manufactured using AutoCAD and Inventor.Make detailed weldment drawings of assemblies to be sent out for manufacture, including Weld Procedure Specifications.Put together spec lists of each machine using Microsoft Excel. This then used to order materials and to help the works foreman put each individual part in stages, such as pressed, profiled, drilled, sawn etc.Produce from scratch Operating and Parts Lists manuals to be sent with every machine sold.Study prototypes in the field to improve quality and increase fit for purpose.Programmed and sometimes operated a CNC Plasma cutter. Programming this uses, Esprit Profile Definition and Nesting.Customer service via E-mail or telephone and help with any queries or problems they have.In 2005 I redesigned an existing machine; it then went on and won a Silver Medal at the Royal Agricultural Show (RASA) at Stonleigh, Coventry.
