Supply price arbitrage and item preference analysis within Tenet’s PMI group. Using Closed receipt files, IMMS datawarehouse, McKesson data, Hyperion, general ledger custom financial reports and other resources; drove down supply spend for Tenet hospitals in high cost categories such as the OR and low cost/high volume commodity categories, e.g. toothpaste.• Developed and led, along with clinical account manager, focus for value analysis team for Tenet Florida, found over 2 million in supply savings opportunities in 2 months• Supply liaison for MedAssets relationship with analytics team.• Discovered and Championed 1.2 million dollar national hemostat opportunity• Continued building and rolling out spine charging framework to increase visibility around spine implant costs and facilitate increased margin opportunity due to better contracting• Led analytics side of Tenet’s continuing Performance Management Initiative for 10 Florida Region acute care hospitals including Value Analysis Team initiatives• Founding member of Commodities Realization Group, attempt to standardize commodities spend and SKU across Tenet. Operations analysis including variable cost per patient case, workforce productivity analysis (staff to volume), patient throughput analysis (milestone), and ad hoc operational/financial analysis. Additional responsibilities including financial analysis for CMS Bundled Payments, cost accounting support, and project management from a cost/charging perspective for large scale cost savings initiatives across Tenet with potential multi-million dollar impact. • Led the analytics for Tenet-side of Tenet-McKinsey&Co. joint consulting engagement at 400 bed Florida Hospital to enhance ED/OR turnaround times, throughput, bed management, copay collections, etc.• Used MedHost, McKesson HSM, McKesson PSH/HSM to pull data to quantify ED throughput time, OR turn time, OR cancelation %, and other metrics of OR/ED efficiency• Built new charging frameworks for spine and total joints to capture margin after re-contracting• Optimized Cerner preference card utilization and interface with supply systems for enhanced revenue capture

Performance Management and Innovation Cost Accountant tasked with insourcing an outsourced cost accounting platform, maintaining the integrity of Tenet's cost accounting data, ensuring accurate and timely cost information throughout the company. Assigned to a specific region in Tenet, the cost accountant is responsible for maintaining and improving Tenet's cost accounting system and works closely with hospital and corporate management to ensure data accuracy and integrity.• Led drive to update Cath Dept RVU and CDMs for greater cost accuracy and increased revenue for California Hospitals• Devised a superior cost allocation methodology for allocation of pharmacy labor to RVUs• Began building a new charging framework for spinal implants to facilitate new contracting• Supervised cost accounting for 15 hospitals in Atlanta and California• Provided additional support to Performance Management Initiative group for labor consulting engagements• Led drive to clean up variable cost to charge table, which contained many old and irrelevant items
