Responsibilities included conducting full analysis and underwriting of all assigned commercial loan requests, plus existing portfolio management.

Providing credit risk management services to financial institutions. Primarily served as a consultant to a large credit union, charged with responsibility for integration of a $38,000,000 acquisition of 42 commercial real estate loans, plus management of all direct member business loans.

Responsible for development and management of a commercial loan and deposit portfolio; accomplished by developing new business relationships, and expanding established customer base.Performed all areas of the loan application and analysis process; Created awareness of bank and its services through community activity; successful negotiation of loan terms and conditions, coordinated these terms and conditions between borrower and Senior Management; performed and completed due diligence activities such as credit reports, background checks, reference checks; underwriting and analysis of applicant’s financial status, credit, and property evaluation, preparing formal credit presentations to determine feasibility of granting loan; conducted credit reviews to ensure compliance with policies and regulations; periodic review of existing loans to ensure compliance with terms; recommend loans for placement on the loan watch list and risk rating changes.

Responsible for development and management of Member Business Loan Department; increased loan portfolio from $15,000,000 to over $44,000,000; successfully negotiated loan terms and structure with applicants; underwriting and analysis of applicant’s financial status; prepared credit presentations, summarizing findings; approved loans within specified limits or referred loan to Senior Management for approval; completed the entire due diligence process, such as ordering commercial real estate appraisals, environmental due diligence reports (and determining further action if necessary), flood determinations, deed filings, and UCC searches, filings and searches to reflect; accurately prepared all loan documents, ensuring timely loan closing and funding activities; identified, coordinated and facilitated loan participations; advised Senior Management of external factors that affected lending policies; prepared detailed records and reports of lending activities.

Commercial loan underwriter for over 115 Credit Unions across the United States; performed complete financial analysis, wrote risk-based credit presentations, and made recommendations on; approval, structure, term, pricing, fees for all types of commercial loans, including; real estate, term, lines of credit, construction, religious, and agricultural loans; acted as broker for loan participations, underwriting loan requests as needed for lead, or participating lender; complete due diligence and accurate preparation of all loan documents for timely delivery and collateral perfection; risk monitoring; including timely notices to lender, periodic financial review and analysis, risk rating, and portfolio monitoring. Provided assistance with problem loans and workouts; assisted with marketing and business development campaigns by providing templates of marketing materials and sales campaigns, printed brochures, and marketing lists.
