Serves as Deputy Director for the Secretariat that directs Plans, Policy and Analysis branch, and the Project Portfolio Management Office Branch, Business and Support Services Division (MR), Manpower and Reserve Affairs Department, Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC). Serves as a principal advisor to the Director, MR, leading and managing a comprehensive array of Plans, Policy, and Analysis functions for diverse Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) business and support operating activities and functions that receive frequent Department of Defense (DoD), congressional, and media attention that require a superior level of knowledge of operation activities and functions. Manages project management for the $1.6B global enterprise. Collaborates and integrates communications and planning with other USMC Headquarters Divisions, Department of the Navy (DON), DoD, congressional staff members, and the private sector partners and internal divisions to coordinate and align work efforts and to promote Marine Corps business requirements, goals, and strategies. Represents the Marine Corps at internal and external MCCS business portfolio executive level meetings. Oversees the organization’s Asset Protection functions, Privacy Program, Public Affairs functions and provides administration and management support of the MCCS Board of Directors. Provides strategic analysis on key issues.Plans, develops, and conducts analyses for current and projected programs to achieve goals and objectives. Evaluates qualitative and quantitative results and consults with subject matter experts to identify significant factors, relationships, and trends to produce accurate and meaningful data. Reviews, researches and benchmarks emerging trends in related industries and analyzes actual or potential impacts on operational activities and functions. Identifies problems, provides advice, guidance, options and recommended courses of action to improve programming and achieve goals. Organizes and defines Directorate goals and functions, sets priorities, and determines and allocates resources.
