Led the Group’s care home business, which consisted of 103 care homes and one mental health hospital, providing high quality care for 5,100 residents who were supported by 6,500 staff and generated annual turnover of £180 million.Full responsibility for operational, quality and financial performance of the UK’s seventh largest care provider.Delivered increased financial margins against the backdrop of the introduction of the National Living Wage and an effective decline in government funded care.Set the foundation for future growth with the creation of ‘kradle’ the Group’s inhouse designed electronic care plan system.Redesigned company branding and values to assist sector and stakeholder awareness of the company ethos and standing.Worked in conjunction with other Group Directors to undertake financial and operational due diligence of Embrace Care, which lead to the acquisition of 36 care homes in England and Scotland.
