About Mark Mcconnell, Aptd

Our society has a ubiquitous term for identifying and managing members of an organization: "Human Resources". The problem with this terminology is that it evokes too many negative images. Resources are identified for a singular purpose, consumed, and then discarded when deemed no longer useful. We need a new vocabulary that informs a wholesale change in mindset. My offer: "Human Investments". Investments are carefully selected, surrounded by complementary counterparts, and valued for the long term. Investments are prized for their growth, and there is no better way to fuel growth in your organization's members than through talent development.
