*The Clinical Research Finance Administrator is responsible for thefinancial management of cancer clinical trials, ensuring timely andaccurate clinical trial invoicing and payment.*Works closely with fellow staff members in theClinical Research Finance Office to provide forecasting data andfinancial expertise to research staff regarding multiple clinicalresearch accounts. *Develops and maintains detailed systems to ensure accurate and timely accounts payable and accounts receivable. *Organize complex projects, provide attention to detail, and communicate effectively. *Contributes information and ideas related to areas of responsibility as part of a cross functional team. *Ensures effective and efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards forstaff/program and self.*Maintains a working knowledge of the Code of Federal Regulations and the code of conduct for human research.*Works directly with pharmaceutical company sponsors,institutional investigators, and research staff.*Conducts complex work important to the organization.* Contributes to measurable team and/or organization objectives.*Responsible for performing detailed budget forecasting and design during protocol and Letters of Intent development; financial management of industry and investigator-initiated clinicaltrial budgets and clinical trial agreements.

• Serve as a central point of contact for and liaison to the research community to provide guidance related to the initiation and ongoing conduct of clinical research.• Accountable for all site research activities including adherence to GCP guidelines, site timelines, quality control and assurance of clinical trial data collection, clinical trial drug/device management, clinical trial financial oversight, and research staff training and development.• Works with the study team, CIRI and the CCR to determine best practices for clinical research operations and study budget accuracy.• Utilizes and maintains an effective system of tracking both study and site information via the Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS). • Recommends policies, procedures and processes that promote efficiencies and drive quality assurance. • Ensures research site compliance with relevant federal, state, and local regulations as well as CIRI, CCR and institutional policies and procedures.• Manage the Research Site’s internal finances and operating budget, including:o Completing an annual operating budget for the research site.o Managing supply and labor expenses (resource allocation) within budgeted targets.• Manage and oversee research site personnel, including:o Participation in personnel interviews and selection processeso Responsible for orientation, training, and development of research staff.o Conducts initial competency assessment of research personnel within 90 days of hire, transfer or promotion.• Provides ongoing communications (progress reports) to the CCR Associate Director regarding operations and site developments.• Contributes to projects that support the research site, CIRI and CCR organizational goals
