Parts Centre - Tile Hill - Coventry

In addition to site Health and Safety this role included environmental responsibilities, such as: Managing the waste contract for the site and was the main point contact for all waste issues. Developing and management of environmental systems at the Parts Centre to ensure the site achieves its target of ISO14000 through thorough research, analysis and application of legislation, whilst ensuring that solutions are cost effective. Co-ordinating and delivering training programmes for environmental procedures to ensure compliance for all areas and to improve environmental performance.

As a supervisor I embraced the challenges of managing teams of up to 34 people. This included manpower planning, managing holidays, recording working hours, maintaining key performance indicators and driving continual improvement principles. Computer literate including SAP IT technology. Return to work interviews and Occupational Health referrals were all part of this role including locally managing rehabilitation programs. Health and Safety responsibilities within this role included Health and Safety audits, accident and near miss investigation, including root cause analysis tools such as 5 why and PDCA (Plan Do Check Act). Both my Goods In and Despatch team progressed to Level 5 - 5S and level 4 UEP. I managed the first team area at Parts Centre (and in Europe outside of France) to group UEP levels 1 and 2.
