Consolidated gear and sprocket manufacturing from three sites into one central location, implemented cellular continuous flow manufacturing processes $3M/yr. saving. Team leader to improve corporate operating guidelines & procedures for ISO 9001 certification.

Manufacturing Operations POC with Design Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing and key suppliers on Design for Manufacture (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA) and Mistake-Proofing of new and existing products. Project Manager responsible for upgrade of three (3) airbag diagnostic module SMT lines and design and rebuild/upgrade of final assembly automation in preparation for move to new production facility.

Flywheel and connecting rod production and assembly. Accomplishments: +28% productivity, +20% Quality, Capital Expenditures $975,000, < 2 yr. ROI, reduced product cost $300,000/yr. and tooling costs $30,000/yr.

Start-up of new manufacturing facility producing rotary automotive air conditioner compressors for Saturn, Nissan, Mazda and Isuzu. Responsible for facility design, process specification, production equipment purchase and qualification. Total budget in excess of $300M. Accomplishments: Designed, purchased and installed fully automated inorganic impregnation system for precision castings; Electroless nickel and Teflon automated plating system (including wastewater treatment and boiler system); reverse osmosis make-up water system for overall plant processes; ultra-filtration system for recycling of process coolants.
