Throughout my career, I have provided the highest level of physical security and leadership, both as a Special Agent in the U.S. Secret Service, and for one of the largest financial institutions in North America. To ensure executive protection and security for physical assets and at events, I draw upon years of training and experience to develop the critical intelligence analysis required for decision making and monitoring threats from terrorism and criminal activity. This experience includes implementing security and crisis management protocols, for National Special Security Events, NSSE, such as State of the Union addresses, 2009 G-20 Summit, Republican and Democratic Conventions, and Presidential Inaugurations, as well as providing executive protection for presidential candidates, heads of state, and Vice President Cheney. In the private sector, my focus is on ensuring the security of corporate executives at public events and during travel, both domestic and global. One measure I employ to proactively manage risk is to collaborate with a third party vendor to develop pre-travel intelligence regarding on-the-ground situations. I also provide employee safety training focused on security measures in the office and off site. My leadership style consists of situational training, subject matter expertise, accountability, integrity, and respect for each team member’s contributions. I have been instrumental in aligning new employees with corporate goals following an acquisition; my involvement also included providing input on headcount and budgets.Additionally, I innovated a Fraud Risk Management program, bringing together partners in cybersecurity, physical security, global crisis, and business continuity to prevent financial fraud that enhanced Bank of Montreal’s ability to recover from potential security threats.
