Monitor and set signs and signals for incidents, weather conditions, road-works and congestion on the network using CCTV and COBS. Create, update and prioritise incident logs according to safety implications using Control Works. Communicate with and deploy on-road Traffic Officers using ICCS. This requires me to attend monthly meetings with stake holders and service providers to update and advise of any problems with internal and external technology. I then liaise with my team, initially using e-mail, but then in a monthly team meeting, where we discuss any issues in detail. The team is invited to come up with any ideas that might further improve, or overcome ongoing issues.• Involved with the implementation of the Standard Operating Model (SOM), which will be run-out nationally. I attend meetings on behalf of my team and Control Room and feedback any ideas put forward by the committee members, allowing operators the opportunity to put forward their own thoughts.

Dispatch RAC patrols to breakdowns and prioritise work. Constantly analysing dispatch/patrol strategy for best use of resources. Pass details of non-priority work to assistants so that drivers will be advised of delays and alternative solutions, including the use of contractors. Pass those incidents that need further investigation to assistants, so that more information can be gained from drivers, enabling the best resource to be dispatched first time. Control budget in the North East along with the On-road managers and lead patrols. Rota over-time for patrols. Liaise with garages and contractors and other departments within the organisation. Generate new logs.

Responsible for the running, maintenance and health and safety of multiple sites around the country, but mainly in the Northwest, working with companies such as ESSO and Tesco. Involved in planning and costing of works, liaising with clients, building professionals and local government officers prior to work starting. Organise trades, order materials, arrange inspections with building control inspectors and surveyors to make sure all aspects of the project complied with local and national building regulations. Required to give Trades an induction for health and safety purposes. Daily site inspections and site security reviews.

Design and planning for the refurbishment of private dwellings to bring them up to living standard with the aid of Government Grants. Measuring properties in preparation for drawing up and then submitting plans to Building Surveyor and local Planning departments to be checked for Building regulations compliance and planning approval. Site meetings with Building Inspectors to discuss any amendments that might be required.
