Hello. I have been in the Fire Protection industry since 2004. I started in the piping trade as a Sprinkler Fitter (Hold Canadian red seal for Sprinkler System Installer) where I gained experience on new projects along with break fix (service) work. I expanded my experience in the trade to include Fire Systems technician (inspections/service) and Inspector (Fire Sprinkler, Fire Alarm, Extinguisher, Emergency lighting, and Backflow testing). After about 8years in the trade and on the tools I had an opportunity to explore the business end of the industry, with an Inside sales opportunity (deficiency specialist), where I was able to utilize my knowledge of fire systems to help our customers understand their inspection reports and any notes or recommendations made by inspectors. I was able to discuss and provide quotes to repair any identified deficiencies. I believe a byproduct of my work ethic, customer service and customer first mentality was always surpassing my personal sales targets and assigned sales quota. My career granted me an opportunity to relocate across the continent and across the border. I am currently working as a business development Executive in Charlotte NC and have continued to surpass sales targets each year. I really enjoy talking to customers and clients about fire and life safety, and believe what we are doing in the industry is very important. It’s exciting to see this industry grow.
