CurrentI have worked on every programme Sky broadcast during this time, from simple press conferences (live and recorded), training gvs, match coverage, match isos, features, lit interviews, news coverage, documentaries and basically every shooting style and situation you can think of both home and abroad. I shot the Sky Sports Rugby Club School of Hard Knocks doco features for the first two series and worked on some of series three. Much of my work was for programmes such as Live Premiership football and Rugby Club where production values are extremely high but also there was Sky Sports News and travelled extensively with North West teams Man utd and Liverpool in European competition and covered the England National team and then my home country Northern Ireland in International competition. I continue to work for Sky Sports on a freelance basis. I also edit and send material via FTP to Sky Sports News and have recently acquired my own Mobileviewpoint backpack allowing me to do lives or send material for Sky Sports News via sim, wifi or Lan without the need for an SNG Truck. I also cover shifts on the Sky Ranger Satellite Truck with uplink capabilities doing lives with reporters or guests and also feeding material back to Sky Sports for transmission.

Belfast Then Manchester Bureau Lighting Cameraman/ Editor
After completion of my degree I was offered a job with Reuters TV in the Belfast Bureau as Cameraman/ Editor. I was based in the Belfast Bureau covering the whole of Ireland during the civil unrest in Northern Ireland through the Peace Process and resumption of violence. I covered events such as Drumcree and the IRA ceasefire for Sky News and Reuters World feed and international clients in sometimes very challenging situations. I was sent to Denver G8 Summit for Reuters to cover the event and provide live links for international clients.I then moved to the Manchester Bureau in 1997 where I mainly worked for the Sky News contract. I shot and edited material covering news and features and operated the lives and studio lives in Manchester and Belfast for Reuters television mostly as a one man band covering audio too. I worked mainly covering the Sky News contract and also for the Reuters World Feed and for Reuters International Clients.
Degree Placement
As part of my Degree I completed a 6-week work placement with Reuters TV in Belfast helping out shooting gvs and interviews and rough edits. I also was sent on occasion to carry out interviews with a cameraman and sound, which were then put into the correspondent's news package for broadcast or sent on the Reuters World Feed. Upon completion of my placement I was asked to stay on over the summer, which I was paid for so I ended up being there for 6 months mainly shooting and editing.May 1989 Newtownabbey Times During my A Levels I spent two weeks working as a junior reporter on my local newspaper. During this time I researched and wrote articles for the paper and carried out interviews over the phone and on location. I had several stories and a couple of comment pieces published.
