Appointed to role due to structural changes in organisation and given a diverse portfolio of responsibilities, including:1. Leading Systems Engineering Design team2. During this period ERG was delivering from its Perth engineering facility projects with a total value over 250 million dollars, with a total engineering team at peak of over 250 staff. In this role I was responsible for overall product direction and technology strategy for group. Responsibilities included managing definition of platform/product roadmaps, providing oversight and governance of project deliveries and managing core product infrastructure and ICT delivery teams, along with functional management of project architecture and business analysis teams.

Initially recruited as part of Engineering team to recover the delivery of the micro-payments clearing house solution being delivered as part of the Hong Kong Octopus System. I worked as part of a small (8 person) team to re-engineer and deliver the solution in a 15 month timeline. I then moved to Rome to help run the development of the Rome Metrobus system, managing a local (Italian) development team plus providing technical governance to teams in Perth and Belgium, managing the technical interface to the customer. Project was completed to initial rollout stage in 18 months (including development of new embedded hardware platforms) at which point I was recalled to Perth to support international project deliveries there, define and manage development of the MASS technology platform that become the core of the transit clearing house solutions delivered globally since this date.Projects included - - Hong Kong Octopus System- Rome Metrobus SmartCard System (covering Rome and Lazio Region)- Berlin Smart Card Ticketing trial
