The best skill I have learned being a professional truck driver over the course of my 35 plus yrs is outstanding customer service for whatever company I've worked for!In 1996, I won a star award with Kraft foodservice in their St. Louis/ Kansas city division for this, and was the only one out of 900 employees to receive the honor for this specific award. Was only six other star awards presented in 1996 as well. This award was the highlight of my career while working for this company. I firmly believe this skill gave me the knowledge to land every career change I've been in as a truck driver, as well the opportunity to be the assistant manager/ lead man/ lead driver, of the warehouse for Harcros chemicals, the largest chemical manufacturing plant in the nation from 2003-2006.Other attributes I have to offer is the ability to train class A cdl drivers in learning how to do paperwork/ computer skills, for whatever company I've been employed by, with the exception of the one where I'm currently employed. With Schmuhl brothers, I am now the student, rather the teacher, and I've found out that there is still much I need to learn in the intermodal industry, which I never knew in regards to operating a truck!My love for the word of GOD has certainly changed my attitude in recent years, not only in my work career, but also in the ability to be a better team player with any type of personality of co- workers, or customer I may come into contact with on a daily basis.
