Senior Reservoir Engineer
Current● Senior reservoir engineer on a multi-disciplinary team responsible for horizontal development of 26,000 undeveloped acres in the Midland Basin, drilling 440+ wells across 7 different zones in 6 years, deploying $3B of CAPEX, improving production from ~2,500 boepd to >100,000 boepd and increasing asset level PV10 from $775MM to >$5B.● Design, analyze, and integrate various data gathering programs to inform decisions on well spacing and configuration including oil, water, and proppant tracer data, microseismic surveys, geochem data, and bottomhole pressure data. ● Built and maintained several basin-wide machine learning models for the Midland Basin, Delaware Basin, and Eagleford used for development optimization (well spacing and completion design), initial A&D deal screening, and basin-wide inventory analysis studies. ● Managed basin-wide economic databases in Aries/ComboCurve, regularly updating forecasts and cost projections to maintain individual well economics for every well in Midland Basin, Delaware Basin, and Eagleford. ● Responsible for all RE work related to A&D evaluations including database creation, production forecasting, OPEX and CAPEX model creation, and drillout timing. ● Perform RTA work as a method of validating production forecasts, understanding spacing/depletion effects, and optimizing completion strategies. ● Build and maintain Spotfire tools for internal and regional data analysis, generating type curves, and integrating subsurface and diagnostic data sets (geochem, microseismic, tracer data, etc.) with well performance data.● Build and run GOHFER frac model simulations using internal geomechanical inputs to understand frac geometry in the context of well spacing and generate completion designs.
