Physics undergraduate degree, 3 yrs. grad school. Moved to Information Technology - worked at Public Television station as database expert for 9 yrs. Presently work at the American Red Cross doing humanitarian disaster work as IT-Telecom staff. Volunteer as IT-Telecom ERU (Emergecy Response Unit) staff for international disaster sites such as Haiti. I currently also hold a IT Customer Support Manager position in the FEMA Disaster Reserve program.I enjoy bringing an ever-changing team of people together quickly to help those affected by flood, tornado, tsunami or other disasters. When time allows I also take advantage to train newer Red Cross IT staff on procedures and supervisory technique.Specialties: Working under extreme conditions, dealing with cultural and language barriers. Team creation/organization. Computer setup/networking/user training and support in fluid situations.
