  Duties: Instrumental in the establishment of the Volunteer Initiative Program (VIP), researched and created blocks of training to fit the volunteer fire department “3-4 hour drill night” format. Wrote the specifications and managed the contract purchase of over $300,000 of grant funded equipment for the VIP. Since its inception in September 2016, the program has trained over 8,000 fire department personnel through almost 650 course offerings. The Volunteer Initiative Program has provided training, with state of the art props and equipment, valued over $500,000 at no cost to the fire departments. Conducts public safety training in basic, advanced, and specialized topics. Participates in needs assessments, research, design and evaluation of statewide public safety training programs. Demonstrates teamwork and a high degree of customer service through communications, building relationships, interpreting needs, and assisting volunteer fire departments statewide to accomplish their training goals.
