Currently manage a team of buyers with spend >$300m annually across global manufacturing sites.

In my role as category buyer I am responsible for procuring tooling assemblies and tooling components for all FMC sites globally: Dunfermline, Singapore, Bergen, Kongsberg, Rio De Janeiro and Houston. Involved with this is the operational management of primarily but not exclusively 2 suppliers within the UK and one in the USA.Working within the global tooling centre of excellence I procure tooling assemblies which can consist of large machined components, OEM's of all sizes and fabrications or components which require overlay. These assemblies can also require load testing and or pressure testing (gas or hydro). Examples: - Tree and tubing hanger running tools- Dummy Tubing hangers- Test Stump assemblies used to test our subsea XT's.- Actuator override toolsPrior to November 2014 I was responsible for the procurement of machined components across 4 suppliers within the UK such as:- Tubing hanger jewellery- EH5 penetrators- Subsea XT caps - Managing the pre-weld machining of composite valve blocks/smaller wing blocks. My day to day duties include: - Analysing and selecting RFQ's/supplier selection. - Placing and managing purchase orders. - Ensuring all quality issues are resolved in a timely manner. - Communicating order status' to the rest of the business. - Managing and communicating suppliers regional performance. - Analysing situations quickly in order to make the best decision to suit the business' needs.- Expediting the manufacture and delivery of components.- Negotiating cost savings. - Working to legal and techincal requirements. - Ensuring HSE regulations are adhered too.

In this role I worked within the procurement department at FMC Technologies. I was aiding the implementation and managing a new procurement process being rolled out across FMC Dunfermline and FMC Kongsberg (Norway). I also played a role in quality management within the department. This involved:- Maintaining good communication between myself and counterparts in Kongsberg. - Inputting and validating info into our systems. - Liaising closely with other functions within the organisation. - Verifying the correct material is being purchased. - Ensure it is being purchased in the correct manner.- Placing and managing purchase orders. - Risk analysis and management.
