Since January 2022 I have been Chief Executive at Spectrum Northants, which is an amazing charity making a very positive impact on the wellbeing of adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health in West Northants. The charity operates from two Day Centres in Northampton, one with a very busy charity shop attached and has a very pro-active approach to collaboration with a range of community stakeholders. Immediately prior to my current role I was Chief Executive of Vale Plus in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, which likewise made a valued impact in supporting adults with learning disabilities. In my former role as Chief Executive of Community Action Dacorum, Mark Mitchell oversaw over 16 years the growth of a charity from £500k to £3m+ turnover which made significant contributions in areas such as adult learning, community transport, CSR, European Erasmus+ cooperation, Interpreting and Translation, Supporting other charities and many other community initiatives. Mark has successfully written project proposals, developed an extensive knowledge of the local community, public sector service delivery, as well as being very active in engaging in European transnational projects in a wide-range of social and learning topics. He has been a guest speaker at a number of conferences, delivered training courses and led workshops.
