Hello. My life was/is a journey with family & friends and my friend, the Lord Jesus Christ. His touch, guidance and comfort (Blessed Assurance, Jesus is Mine!) is ever present! He is my strength, refuge and hope; responsible for all good things in my life. For my part, I have, at times, been obstinate, stubborn & rebellious, but His love has never wavered. He is always there, ready to resume relationship and fellowship with me! Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace are His names! My great friend, mentioned but unnamed herein, calls Him the God of the Second Chance! Aptly Spoken! I graduated from Marine Corps Basic Training at Parris Island SC as a Protestant Lay Reader and Meritorious PFC, served in Desert Shield/Desert Storm, correcting a hard down gun system (avionics gripe) during the ground war, nominated for but did not receive the John W. Finn award (named for hero of Pearl Harbor) in 1996, completed the Marine Corps Marathon (also in 1996), graduated (BA) from college, married for forty years, executed 18 permanent moves, awarded Meritorious Service Medal upon retirement (26 years) from Marines, after which I worked in 3 different disciplines: Real Property Management, industrial production and general aviation. Learned my work ethics from Dad, customer service and industrial production jobs. Learned attention to detail from Marine Corps mentors, mentioned herein but unnamed! Accomplishments include but not limited to: 48 years experience in the workplace; i.e. started very young in 1972, 18 years experience in aviation operations & maintenance; i.e. on a flight line, 17 years experience as a counselor with a bachelors degree in human resources, 32 years experience in supervisory/management positions, including 12 years experience in executive staff positions, and over 6 years experience as an analyst/technical writer, generated procedural recommendations for aviation ordnance procedures, facility management, environmental categorical exclusions, responses to inquiries from Members of Congress and many concurring requests addressed from general officers to the Commandant of the Marine Corps to commemoratively name government buildings for our fallen warriors. Highly skilled servant (author, administrator, manager) who wields authority with firmness tempered by a desire for justice and flexible to each circumstance; i.e. situations, people.
