Mark Moore is a Student Success Coach who teaches and mentors students in both in-person and online learning environments at Back on Track Educational Services in Clinton Township, Michigan. With over twenty-four years of experience as an educator, Mark recognizes the vital roles that creativity, imagination, and knowledge play in education.In addition to his responsibilities as a mentor and teacher, Mark is active mentor in the Junior Optimist Club, which meets after school. He received the Shelton Richards Lifetime Achievement Award for high school coaches at his previous school and was nominated by his fellow Optimist Club members for the "Making a Difference Member" award during the 2020 Optimist International administrative year. Mark is also a former board member of the Southfield Lathrup Optimist Club and a member of the Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education, Phi Delta Kappa Honor Society, Pi Lambda Theta Honor Society, as well as Shriners International, and other community service organizations.Mark has dedicated his free time to teaching computer literacy to senior citizens at the Detroit Urban League and volunteering for the Special Olympics, an experience he found highly rewarding. He holds a Master of Science in Information Systems from Central Michigan University. He is pursuing a Doctor of Education degree in Organizational Leadership, focusing on Organizational Development. His research will focus on a qualitative descriptive study to uncover teachers' perceptions and experiences during the transition and implementation of virtual learning during the COVID-19 pandemic in a Michigan school district. Mark’s comprehensive approach enhances student success and drives positive change in the educational landscape.
