Working as part of WL's very busy BDM team, my role here was product and systems specification and pricing for any venue requiring entertainment technology, with specific bias towards Business-to-Business and sales to the Leisure Industry.

Eaton is a large US corporation that owns a wide range of aerospace, electrical and hydraulic manufacturers such as Vickers, MEM and Cooper Controls. Within Cooper were the smaller manufacturers iLight, Light Processor and Zero 88. I was approached by Eaton in 2014 and duly joined their Performance Lighting Team, predominantly promoting the Zero 88 series of products and LDR stage luminaires. Worked with the U.K. sales team and succeeded in generating an increase in annual sales during a tough time for the industry in general.

MINERVA is an SME working as a Knowledge Broker specialising in the fields of food, nutrition, agribusiness and biotechnology to assist scientists, researchers, engineers and special-interest and support groups communicate their vision, ideas, and work to the outside World.My role here was to manage the growing portfolio of projects and to help develop the business by liaising with various organisations in the EU.

TEDAV was the technical division of TED, a broad-based Entertainment company providing all aspects of Entertainment to Holiday Parks, Hotels and Cruise as a subsidiary of Qdos Entertainment plc. Following a management buy-out in 2014, TED was later acquired by RWS Global.I was asked to join TED to set-up a new AV department from scratch and, from a standing-start, grew the AV turnover from zero to £1.2 million in under two years. Appointed to the board in 2009, at which point I took on overarching responsibility for Health & Safety across the company. For the AV role, ran a permanent team of 10 and approx 30 freelance installation engineers and electricians - to which we added up to 35 additional seasonal PAYE technicians every year. Wrote and delivered residential technical training courses for clients' entertainment staff. Continued with systems design and installation into Cruise, Entertainment, Education and Theatre sectors.

Whilst "moonlighting" during my time at the Capitol, I was invited to join AJS in 1983 to become a salesman providing services to the professional, educational and amateur theatre sectors. In 1990, I was appointed Sales Manager and relocated to the Ringwood office to grow the business. Added four more people to the sales force of two, grew the cruise-ship installation business to cover five major cruise-lines and added major UK & European holiday companies to the client portfolio.Sold to new owners in 2000, AJS was dissolved in 2013.

Worked for the final year of this characterful theatre's life, built by World War I veterans in the 1920's. Sadly, the council had already sold the site for redevelopment and it was demolished to make way for the Marks & Spencer store that now resides on the site. Aided with the strip-out and worked for a short while at the cinema that was eventually to be redeveloped into Horsham Arts Centre.

Matthew Diamond and I co-Founded Z Theatre Company for Hull University Drama Department students and took two shows to the Edinburgh Fringe.The Z Theatre Company name was passed on to other Hull University Drama Department students to use and they have since staged many performances at the NSDF and Edinburgh Fringe.
