I was employed by Lee Hotels in their Mespil Hotel which is now a four-star hotel after the recent completion of renovations. I worked as a bar and restaurant server in The Lounge. My duties included serving guests food and beverages on our latest menu, this is where I began to learn the art of communication and it's importance. I valued this experience as it thought me how to work in a fast-paced environment while working within a small team with constant moving parts.I plan on using these skills and transfer them into the finance sector.

After Completion of my studies at Level 7, I along with a group of friends travelled to Maui, The United States of America on an exchange visitor visa (J1) for four months where I worked as a barista for the summer.My duties included brewing different varieties of coffee each morning every week which we as a team greeted each customer and took and completed their orders as promptly as possible.I also restocked shelves and offered recommendations to coffee lovers who passed through our doors each day.

Other duties my position would complete daily would include handling guests luggage between reception and bedrooms, During my time at The Grand Hotel, I would also fill the position of banquet server at weddings and a wide range of events such as large-scale conferences and events such as wedding fairs.

I also conducted the weekly payroll for their current staff. I use Thesaurus payroll software to conduct this and input all the data into SAGE software to complete and backup all payroll data.
