In this role, I am responsible for designing and building the IT ecosystem for Safaricom Ethiopia, while working closely with the business to ensure this aligns with the growth agenda of the firm. We have a network to build from scratch in less than 1 year, and so this is an exciting time to be in IT. The role also entails:• Interacting with both business teams, Shareholders and team mates to understand and execute the mission of the company• Leading all architectural decisions around the IT ecosystem• Identifying, recruiting and training a strong IT team• Managing over 40m USD CAPEX and OPEX annually• Driving the RFP process for several key IT systems• Driving overall delivery of the various IT systems in line with the Business plan, and providing key reports and updates to Senior management team• Designing and implementing scalable and resilient systems, processes and people.
