What does good financial advice mean to you? Where do you see the real value? In my view great advice feels guiding and supportive in nature, it should give you a strong sense that the person giving you the advice is on your team. I believe the value is having a person that you trust help evaluate difficult decisions be they financial or lifestyle in nature. The sounding board that is one step removed from the emotional aspects of decision making, the go to person when you need assistance. The advice industry found itself owned by large financial institutions and centred itself on the distribution of product. In my opinion this has led to distrust by our consumers and I have a passion to change that. The greatest satisfaction I have as an adviser is when I am able to support my clients through a tough time or help them acquire that lifestyle they've been searching for. This is the essence of good advice and delivered well it can really change peoples’ lives.Sure we’re good at the money thing as well, we access a terrific investment service but this is just a part of what we do. Building great relationships with deeper levels of engagement is what really sets us apart.
