I work with owner-managers and their businesses across the south west, helping with growth, acquisition and succession planning. Basically, interesting businesses going through interesting times - it's the most enjoyable type of work! What clients want is knowledge, of course, but really someone who "de-mystifies"​ the process and holds their hand throughout a project. That's what I do. I work across all kinds of sectors but I do have a liking for manufacturing and particularly automotive. I'm a bit of a car-nerd so bits that go into classic or performance cars are especially interesting. I'm a Chartered accountant with twenty years experience and holder of the Corporate Finance Qualification. I'm happy to be the leader of the Exeter office of Old Mill Accountants and Financial Planners, with a great team of people doing all the usual accounts, tax and financial planning. When not doing all that, I'm likely to be traipsing across Dartmoor with a muddy spaniel in tow. Or reading Evo magazine and dreaming about impractical but thrilling cars I can't actually buy.
