I am a professional transport planner and qualified civil engineer with 25 years of practical experience in large multidisciplinary consultant teams specialising in the delivery of design led regeneration. I am passionate about good design and pragmatic planning, particularly in creating new public realm. In business I seek to develop trusting and equitable relationships with clients, partners, and suppliers.I specialise in developing masterplans and providing support to planning applications for private sector residential, food and non-food retail, commercial and mixed use schemes. For over seventeen years I have been lead transport adviser on the redevelopment of the former MG Rover works at Longbridge, Birmingham. I also work with the public sector in developing public transport strategies, transport schemes and regeneration projects for urban areas and city centres. I worked with Birmingham City Council to prepare a comprehensive strategy and Development Plan evidence base for a major urban extension. Working with NHS Trusts, I have a hand in delivering parking, access and circulation solutions for acute Hospitals. Particularly in the Midlands where, for instance, I am key transport advisor to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in developing the estate and travel management strategies.I advise with a practical sense and a keen commercial awareness to get the results needed to unlock development land and deliver the right technical solution.As a Director of PJA I am well known to local highway authorities and planning practices, and I am ideally placed to provide you with advice on planning change for your assets.
