Overhauled the internal structures and processes of a massive and complex organization delivering significant efficiencies as a result. Increased operational output through extensive innovation in the face of unprecedented resource constraints. Implemented leading-edge business intelligence systems to streamline decision-making. Helped begin the initial production of new ships under the massive National Shipbuilding Strategy. As the RCN's second in command primarily responsible to translate the Commander's intent into action through:- Coordination of senior Naval staff and activities across the RCN- Budgeting & resource planning- Participation in senior DND/CAF governance bodies & structures- Change management- Issues management- Consultation with key stakeholders (including political, departmental, military, OGD and allied officials)

Principle advisor to Chief of Transformation with responsibility for:- Overall team coordination, task management and priority-setting- Team principal for historical research and analysis, concept development and functional design- Team leader for internal DND/CAF communication, governance and outreach coordination

Principally responsible for overall fleet training and readiness including:- planning and executing all major fleet exercises- coordinating material and personnel preparedness- commanding Task Group at sea- ensure morale, welfare and effective leadership of sailors, soldiers and aircrew assigned to the fleet

Key member of the leadership team of the Chief of Force Development Group responsible for the coordination of key CAF/DND strategic capability, investment and transformation plans including:- principal military analyst for the development of CFDS 2008- direct analytical support to CDS - planning & coordination of senior departmental strategic planning meetings & leadership seminars
