As the Director of Generation and Market Simulation at American Electric Power (AEP), one of the largest electric utilities in the U.S., I lead a team that develops and improves the tools and methods for forecasting and optimizing the performance of AEP's generating fleet. I have over five years of experience in this role, and I hold an MBA from The Ohio State University - The Max M. Fisher College of Business.My core competencies include fundamental forecasting, production costing, data analysis, cross-discipline team building, and critical thinking. I use these skills to create accurate and reliable forecasts for energy prices, fuel costs, customer net energy costs, and off-system sales in various regional markets. I also leverage my knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, Plexos, Excel, and Aurora XMP to manage and enhance the databases and software that support these forecasts. My mission is to enable AEP to make informed and strategic decisions that enhance its profitability and sustainability.
