Pipeline Engineer
The SPDC Pipeline Asset Comprises of about 241 Oil & Gas Pipelines (spanning ~2214km), 208 Gathering Manifolds & 70 CP Main Stations. These pipelines transverse between shallow waters, land & swamp terrains. My team is responsible for the maintenance & smooth operation of the system.Maintenance & Operations•Supervision & monitoring Pipeline maintenance on all Pipeline networks – Activities such as Pipeline Emergency Leak repair by cofferdam and clamping/sectional replacement, Routine and Intelligent Pigging, Post IP Defect verification & Repairs, Illegal crude theft removal, Valve Maintenance and Replacement, Pipeline hydro testing etc.•Writing & review of documentation such as Project Execution Plans, HSE Plans, Security Plans (PSP).Asset Management & Operations Support•Shut down activity planning & coordination•Use of Primavera P6 & other Applications in Planning all Pipeline maintenance works.•Providing maintenance & inspection plans to assure technical integrity of Pipelines within defined scope & budget, focused on realizing asset specific HSE, integrity, cost & availability performance.•Developing & updating Pipeline Asset Reference Plans & aligning with annual activity plans.•Managing engineering modifications (MOCs) to the pipeline system.•Managing short term (stop gap) integrity projects by preparing scope of work, sourcing materials, arranging the execution.•Monitor progress of planned activities & provide monthly progress report.•Provide input to OP$X & CAPEX budgets based on planned activities•Monitor progress of planned activities and ensure alignment with OPEX & CAPEX budgets.•Operations Support in major activities such as Pipeline Replacements, abandonment etc.•Interface with external departments on issues regarding Pipeline Asset•Interface with Government regulators•Operational support – P&ID reviews, system troubleshooting, HAZID, HAZOPs & safety reviews
