About Mark Olson
I was happy and fulfilled designing diet protocols for patients with diseases and participating in drug investigations at Harbor UCLA (5 East, CSC). Then my side consulting allowed me work for ingredient manufacturers and developers, contract manufacturers and finally formulate products for Supplement brands. I started Chemi-Source, inc. in 1996 to offer ingredients I had pioneered for company's and brands I worked for (Melatonin, MSM, r-Lipoic Acid, CMO, DHEA, pregnenolone etc.). This also allowed me to start Metabolic Response Modifiers (MRM) as a Doctor only line that same year. The following year we shifted to retail stores and have been enjoying wonderful relationship since. Although ingredient and product development, clinical investigations take up most of my time, I really enjoy my time doing educational talks to retailers.Since early 2000 until 2009, we expanded and had offices and distribution in the UK, Australia and Canada. I had also started BarTech manufacturing food bars for MRM and others and then we simplified our distribution (always remain direct) in other countries and I sold the food facility. Simplified and more focused, we opened Nutra Pak for our all-powder production in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Always controlling our raw materials, from production through distribution allows us to have total confidence in our product quality and nutritional attributes.As our tag line says, We are "Inspired by Nature" to teach us the art of living in balance with the other flora and fauna (and other humans-ugh) which our understanding is "Supported by Science". Science, the scientific method, is our tool to help comprehend the wonderful balancing complexities of Nature. Whatever man touches is less than what Nature has provided him. Our food supply's are precious. Nurturing our bodies with only goodness. Minimize our plant processing and maximizing nutrient density. FEAR of food stuffs is not logical. Consumption amounts relate to dietary challenges. Eating smart just requires common sense. Proper amounts of everything in life (food, exercise, sleep) lead to a balanced life.Work or play need to be in balance. Enjoy each day, if not make changesMy greatest accomplishment at MRM are my relationships. I get to work with many of the same people I hired 20+ years ago.
