At Adoreboard I develop and evaluate machine learning models for natural language processing tasks,including topic modelling and emotional sentiment classification. As part of this work I use tools such asPyTorch, NLTK, Pandas, scikit-learn, SciPy and AWS services (SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda) to buildpipelines to filter, pre-process and consume large text.

In this post-doc level research role I used state of the art deep learning-based natural language processing models (such as BERT and XLNet) to analyse de-identified clinical letters that describe patients’ experiences of possible memory impairment. Our goal is to extract meaningful information from clinical free text narratives for use in down-stream.

During my research internship at ECIT I worked on the problem of applying natural language processing techniques and recurrent neural networks to clinical narrative data.
