CurrentI have served as the Disease Area Head of Gastroenterology within Immunology Research and Development at Bristol Myers Squibb since Feb 2021. Prior to that, I was an inflammatory bowel disease physician and researcher key opinion leader at the University of Pennsylvania with nearly 20 years of experience. My current role at BMS is cross-functional leadership across >15 departments and functions with the aims of providing long-term and short-term vision and strategy to help guide decision-making throughout the organization from Discovery to Commercial based on my clinical and scientific expertise, including novel target selection, above-asset scientific investigation and academic collaboration establishment, Translational Medicine plan development, early and late clinical trial design and analysis, Early and Late Clinical Development plan development, Business Development clinical and scientific evaluation of external potential opportunities, Medical Affairs data generation and advisory board planning, academic society representation, and Commercial guidance for launches/messaging/target opportunity profile creation, as well as frequent interactions with Biostatistics, Regulatory, and Safety.
