Mr. Scheer has a thriving litigation practice and focuses on complex and commercial litigation. He is admitted in Federal and State Courts as well as the U.S. Supreme Court. He has tried cases in admiralty, collapse coverage, construction, breach of contract, construction defect, property insurance/bad faith, civil forfeiture, subrogation, personal injury, wrongful death, criminal prosecution and professional and products liability. In addition to speaking and presenting at numerous regional, national and international conferences and seminars to various insurers, businesses, trade groups and professional associations on a variety of legal topics, Mark has appeared on ABC’s Good Morning America, discussing a product liability case in which he was lead counsel. He is Martindale Hubbell “AV” rated, the highest peer based rate indicating preeminent legal abilities and highest ethics. Mark has been selected multiple times as a Super Lawyer by Washington Law & Politics magazine. Mark is a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel, the Loss Executive Association, the Defense Research Institute, and The Council on Litigation Management, where he is the past co-chair for Washington. He is also a past member of the Maritime Lawyers Association and Washington State Association for Justice. He is also a member of the Washington Defense Trial Lawyers, where he served four years as a Trustee on the Board of Directors, and chaired both the Construction and Judicial Liaison Committees. In addition to his admission to the Washington Bar in 1987, Mark is admitted to practice in the states of Oregon, Alaska and Idaho. He has handled and managed cases in multiple jurisdictions, and has tried cases and argued appeals in Oregon, Washington and Alaska.
