• Apply geospatial ecology theories, principals, concepts, practices, standards, and methods, combined with knowledge of interrelationships between various natural and cultural resources, to develop avian multiple species/habitat models and habitat monitoring protocols in collaboration with GCJV staff biologists and partner agencies to prioritize bird habitat conservation activities throughout western U.S. Gulf Coast region. • Research new and innovative technologies, techniques, data, and software and provide technical oversight for a variety of projects in the application to bird habitat conservation and related cartographic products utilized by high level decision makers.• Collaboratively utilize knowledge of geospatial data, programming, and database administration to develop a customized application, data standards, and data dictionary for data entry and analysis for the GCJV Managed Lands Geodatabase, a geodatabase containing a spatial inventory of publicly and privately managed land within the western Gulf coast. • Serve as the Migratory Bird – Joint Venture representative on the USFWS National GIS Steering committee. Serve as Co-Chair of Geospatial Science Education Task Force, to address and coordinate geospatial education and training activities in the USFWS. Collaborate on development of training materials and teach online and in-person training courses on applying ArcGIS Pro to resource management.• Design and produce custom cartographic products and presentation graphics, integrating geospatial and non-geospatial data, for GCJV staff and partners utilizing ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.• Develop and deliver formal and technical presentations to a wide variety of audiences/stakeholders, ranging from professional conferences to meetings with upper-level decision makers to federal, state, and non-profit site managers and biologists.

• Project Manager and principal analyst of a project evaluating Landsat TM, IRS-2C, and IKONOS satellite imagery for a structural riparian vegetation classification with the Oregon Department of Forestry. • Developed work plans and schedules, cost estimates, deliverables, timelines, and status reports.• Applied project management practices and tools to ensure successful and timely completion of project goals.• Lead photointerpreter for an accuracy assessment of a National Imagery and Mapping Agency global land cover project. • Rectified, enhanced, classified and interpreted satellite and aerial imagery for spatial analysis and map production using ERDAS Imagine, ArcInfo, and ArcView.• Conducted field checks consisting of plant identification and aerial photo-interpretation to improve map accuracy. Seasonal, summer of 1998 and 1999• Supervised two-person crew in establishing and relocating permanent sampling plots utilizing orienteering, aerial photointerpretation, and GPS.• Collected data on tree health, vigor, insect and disease damage, and soil horizon attributes for the Forest Inventory and Analysis/Forest Health Monitoring program.

Summers of 1995-1997• Supervised six and four person crews and collected data on coarse woody debris, species composition, and percentage coverage of vascular and non-vascular plant communities, including rare, threatened, and endangered plant species.• Measured tree heights utilizing Criterion Survey Laser and sonar hypsometer. • Performed administrative work which consisted of: crew logistics, data management, proofreading data sheets prior to entry, preparing vascular plants for entry into herbarium, assigning duties, and organizing bryophyte and lichen collections.

Summer of 1993-94• Located and established vegetation plots utilizing orienteering and aerial photographs.• Identified and collected coverage data on plant community composition and coarse woody debris for plant community classification.
