Purchasing Engineering Manager
CurrentMain responsibilities include, but not limited to: Manager responsible for Purchasing Engineering (PE) team activities and objectives. Activities include: Ensure financial objectives for the department are established, communicated and respective strategies are in place to achieve them. Interface with all levels of the organization with primary interface with engineering/product management/Upper Mgmt. ensuring business objectives are synergistic while maximizing and promoting EVA contribution. Primary Purchasing Engineering activities: maximize cost reduction initiatives with a focus on Product Design, Redesign and Production Process improvements. Manage the integration of preferred suppliers/materials into Product development process, Role as Lead Project Mgr on Cross functional Sourcing Team activities, Lead/Drive Supplier or DTC (Design to Cost) workshops, Drive Standardization efforts, analyze and communicate technical capabilities and roadmaps of potential suppliers and participate in outsourcing/insourcing activities. Additional responsibilities includes: the ASIC Commodity Manager (LMV division) and develop and implement Brand Labeling third party agreements.
