Anyone can become great at anything with the right teacher, and that's what I aim to be!· · ────────── Biography────────── · ·Currently a Postgraduate Ph.D. Student at Maynooth University and formerly a Software Engineer of SAP (Systems Applications and Products) Ireland. I'm actively working as a tutor and demonstrator with past experience as a lecturer of Computer Science. Active research areas of mine include Edutech, Augmented Reality and Genetic Algorithms/Neuroevolution.Facilitating this, I'm qualified with a Computer Science (First Class Honors) degree and Speech & Drama (Level 9) certificate, allowing for confident communication of complex scientific concepts. For over seven years, I've worked as an educator in one form or another in the field of Computer Science, providing me with insight into some of the best educative methods for it in the classroom.· · ──── Lecturing | Tutoring | Demonstration ──── · ·While lecturing the CS264SS (Software Design) summer school curriculum for students of Texas Tech University, I brought my students from a beginners knowledge of programming to an advanced level of Software Design, so far as to them designing software similar to the "Asteroids" game with skills acquired during the course. I also conducted interview scenarios to prepare them for future career prospects.As a tutor, my role is to both inform and interest students in their studies, becoming the catalyst for their growth in academics or other fields.Responsible for leading a team of demonstrators of the CS353C (Software Project) module in the 2022 academic year as head demonstrator. This entailed guiding HDip students in team-work scenarios and helping them to understand complex 'Software Engineering & Design' topics. For CS230 (Web Information Processing), I tutored over the 2022 inter-semester and summer break. This included demonstration of codes, instruction of complex topics and effective communication of such ideas. I’ve demonstrated for CS264 (Software Design), CS161 (Intro to Computer Science), CS230 (Web Information Processing) and CS280 (Intro to UI/UX Design).· · ──── Accomplishments & Call to Action ──── · ·So far in my career, I've attained a First Class Honors (1.1) Degree in the Computer Science & Software Engineering from Maynooth University, where I've also been awarded the John & Pat Hume Scholarship for my ongoing Ph.D. studies.Should you be interested in discussing research projects, opportunities to teach Comp.
